Women contined to wear the cloche in the 1930's but it was a cloche with a slightly different look. It sat higher on the head, lengthening to the silhouette, easier on the hair style.
This little black hat is my interpretation of that 1930s cloche. The felt is made of 100% merino wool. The crown was shaped on a wooden hat block. The brim is hand draped and remains soft - without a wire or other support, making the hat suitable for both casual and dressy occasions. The trim is a repurposed, man's silk tie in a black and multi-colored paisley print and a vintage button in the style of the era.
Wear it with your best coat or a sweater and jeans.
This hat is a size 22.5. If you would like a different size, I can make it for you as a custom order in a size 22, 23, or 23.5. I also have different colors and trims available. Send me a message and we can discuss it. Be sure to measure your head to get the correct size.
