This beautiful one of original is inspired by the Victorian ladies riding hat.
The buckram frame is first covered with a light under layer to which this green and black reverse brocade is added.
The color is a dark olive with black brocade, reverse iw black with olive and a lighter green. Both sides of the fabric were used. The brim is bound with black milliner's ribbon. Trim is brocade topped with a 6" black silk rose and a bit of vintage veiling.
The entire piece is lined with bemberg rayon- the finest. It is light and easy to wear.
The hat sits on the top of the head and is held in place with a millinery elastic that stretches from the hat around the wearers head in back and is worn under the hair.
Coordinate with a black outfit or I have samples of the fabric is you are trying to match greens. -
