This one will take you anywhere.
Stylish and understated this hat is ready for the spring and summer ahead. Straw is a vintage woven toyo from my stash. I have been making hats for nearly 25 years and have supplies that are no longer available. The hat base for this one is rare. Color is white but slightly muted - not a shining, blind-you white. Brim measures 3" at the front.
Trim is a grosgrain ribbon in a neutral camel. It will be stunning with all your spring and summer clothes.
I do not buy hats and trim them. I make mine from scratch. Which means I have a hat body that is shaped something like a bucket. I steam and stretch it over a hand made wooden hat block. Once it is dry, I insert the head size band to keep the size, wire the brim to hold its shape and finally trim the hat. All of this is done by hand. A handmade hat has a softer look than one pressed in a machine. It just makes you look better
This one fits head size 22. I can reduce the size to 21.5 by inserting another ribbon. If you need a larger size I can make one for a 22.5 or 23" head. Might be able to stretch it to 23.5. Just let me know.
