This is a head turner made of two strands of hand woven straw in a combination of tan and black.
I have been making hats for nearly 25 years and this hat body was purchased years ago. I doubt very much that you could find another like it today.
The hat body was hand woven in Ecuador, where " Panama" hats are woven. I made it wearable through shaping, finishing and trim.
Brim measures 4.5" from the base of the crown to the edge. The brim has been wired in the classic fashion for stability and durability.
The trim is wide grosgrain ribbon that ends in a ribbon rosette centered with a vintage button ( could be 1930's) in black and tan plaid.
Size on this is 22 to 22.25. If you need it a little smaller, that is easily done.
With reasonable care this hat will last for years and can be worn year round in warm climates.
